Washington Township Minutemen Marching Band Portraits

50 Years of “The Climb”

1967- a monumental year for many. The year that Elvis Presley married Priscilla, one of the greatest rock band albums was released: The Beatles “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band”, and the year that Rolling Stone Magazine released their first issue.

This was also the year that the Washington Township Minutemen Marching Band was established. Since their first year of inception, the band has achieved many awards including being placed in the top 10 at the Tournament of Bands (TOB) Atlantic Coast Championships (ACC) 16 times, performing at multiple college football bowl games, and became the first South Jersey band to compete in a Bands of America (BOA) Regional.

The many feats that this talented group have accomplished over a half century, are something to be celebrated. Positive energy, and upbeat vibes were sensed from the band members throughout their photo session, and it felt like more of a shindig then a photo shoot! The familial and tight knit relationships that everyone had with each other made the day go by so quick, it felt like a breeze! What a great group of people to work with, and what an honor it was to be able to help create permanent memories of their 50 year milestone!

Best of luck to the Washington Township Minutemen Marching Band in the future! “Together With Pride”
